LUX
LUX
As a part of the University of Oregon Sports Product Management Master’s Program, student teams develop a brand based on consumer insights and gaps in the marketplace. Lux aims to seamlessly integrate performance and fashion to make running a better experience in low light conditions
The team of students had observed most runners, across different regions, owned quarter-zip tops. This seemed to be a staple in the millennial runners wardrobe. On the mission to incorporate 360° visibility, they rendered these CADs which feature high visibility and reflective accents throughout. The back panel also features laser perforation for breathability.
Upon showing rendering of the quarter-zip to the target consumer, the LUX team, altered the original design to an anorak. This was based on consumers wanting a hood for protection from the elements and something that can be worn casually too. The LUX team designed an anorak which overlaps the quarter-zip aesthetic from running with streetwear inspiration throughout the silhouette.
