Outdoor Research Product Line Consultant

As part of the University of Oregon Sports Product Management program, students participate in consulting projects with industry leaders. Glenn and a team of 4 other students partnered with Outdoor Research to serve as Product Line Consultants. The team was able to reaffirm the need for technical outdoors apparel in inclusive sizing, through conducting focus groups, market walks, research, and analysis of the outdoors industry.

The team delivered a comprehensive body of work detailing a multi-faceted launch strategy for the Outdoor Research encompassing:

  • Brand inclusivitiy

  • Consumer Journey, Psychology, and Muse

  • Market Analysis (Competition, Wholesale vs. DTC)

  • Best Practices for Verbiage and Imagery

  • E-commerce

  • Marketing

  • Social Media and Influencer Strategy

  • Merchandising (Digital and Brick & Mortar)

  • Go-To-Market Strategy
